This year, CEATEC JAPAN has once again been designated an officialevent of the Japan International Contents Festival. Among thespecial programs being planned by the show sponsors is the DigitalContents Business Park, a special exhibit area where companies indigital contents businesses can introduce themselves and createbusiness opportunities. In addition, the Ministry of Economy, Tradeand Industry (METI) will sponsor the Life Contents Frontier as partof its International Contents Market Reinforcement Activities. ThisSpecial Exhibit will paint a picture of the future of diversecontents in lifestyle scenes with the goal of promoting originalJapanese contents technologies.

The Life Contents Frontier Special Exhibit will be held as part ofMETI's International Contents Market Reinforcement Activities(Promotion Activities for New Life Contents through the Linking ofSoftware and Hardware). The Life Contents Frontier will open in Hall 4 (Digital NetworkStage) alongside the Information Grand Voyage Project, anotherpromotional project by METI. Nine participating exhibitors willpropose "New Roles and Possibilities of Contents" through diverseuser scenes spanning a total area of 360 m2 (40 booth spaces). Newindustries to create new life contents will be promoted using thediverse functions of CEATEC JAPAN to publicize information tobusiness people active in the IT and electronics fields.
