Stereophonics were next on the main stage but a concerted (andhumorous) leafleting campaign by Dundee band Luva Anna drew a hugecrowd to the T Break stage. A world away from navel-gazing indiepop, Luva Anna create boisterous and humorous folk rock andfeatured soaring vocals from Dave Webster.
Back on the main stage, The Verve headlined, which was a shame. Upuntil then it had been such a pleasant evening. The Verve are aband that have always triumphed on reputation rather than resultsand while still anthemic, their songs sounded lumpen anduninspiring.

No rain, more than enough blue sky, and more stages than everbefore. With such a good result at the T Break tent on Friday, itwas a good place to start with another surprise package, GraceEmilys. No-one wanted to mosh at noon and this was a thoughtful, tuneful start to the day.
Early on in the Pet Sounds arena, recent Amy Winehouse support actBryn Christopher drew a good crowd thanks to solid radio support. There's no doubt that by the end of the year he will be joining theranks of Duffy and Adele in the CD collections of retro-soullovers.
The size and importance of T as a festival is clear when a bandlike The Feeling - with two of the biggest-selling albums of recentyears - only merit an afternoon slot. Too saccharine on record formany, their live performance brings an extra dimension. Theydelivered a perfect festival set: all the hits plus two well-chosencovers in Video Killed the Radio Star and Take On Me.
The Futures stage is the place where the best of the previousyear's T Break stars show up. Tipped Dundee band The Law have madethat leap, following Glasvegas. It would be splendid to report thatAlan McGee favourites Glasvegas lived up to the hype, but the queuewas six deep outside to get in. The tent remained busy for The Lawwho judging by the reaction will no doubt take the leap and rock upat the King Tut's stage in 2009.
The great thing about T is that the headliners are rarely the mostinteresting acts. In the Pet Sounds arena Ben Folds was only secondtop of the bill. The pocket rocket with all Elton John'spiano-playing abilities, superb tunes and sharp lyrics was a hardact for Interpol to follow. Even though he had just piano, bass, and drums the depth of Folds's sound was astounding.
