The RC2300-ZNM from Radiocrafts AS , Oslo, Norway, is a ZigBee network module with an API. Targetedfor home, building, and industrial automation; sensor networks;wireless security and alarm systems; automatic meter reading;remote control and telemetry; and fleet and asset managementapplications, the module operates in the 2.4 GHz ISM band forworldwide usage. The compact, surface-mounted module is 12.7 by25.4 by 2.5 mm including EMC shielding and integrated antenna. TheZigBee application runs in an external controller, communicatingwith the module via an easy to use API. Used with a quarter-waveantenna, LOS range is 250 m; indoor range is 10–30 mm typ.Sleep mode current draw is <1 µA.
