According to the company, the IDW-90 ISDN Terminal adapter is suited for industrial data communications, and supports both RS-232 and RS-422/485 interfaces.
The unit meets the European ISDN standard DSS1, as well as all standard ISDN transport protocols such as HDLC transparent, V.110 asynchronous, X75, PPP and ML-PPP.
Services can be triggered by using the single digital opto-coupled input on the unit. The ISDN modem also has a relay output with NO-NC contact, which can be controlled from a remote Westermo PSTN, GSM, 3G or ISDN modem.
The modem can be locally and remotely configured featured with DIP-switch, AT-commands, or a Configurator. A supporting Windows based configuration tool is also available.
The Westermo Terminal adapter also has an internal analogue V34 modem enabling connections from ISDN to analogue modem end locations. By combining analogue and ISDN technologies with V.110 protocol, the IDW 90 is suited for mixed environments.
