ER sells 'Transformer' TV show to 80 territories

The company has secured broadcast agreements in over 80 territoriesincluding Mediaset (Italy), Turner Broadcasting (Australia, LatinAmerica and India), Jetix (Israel, Netherlands and Belgium),Network 10 (Australia), TV3 (New Zealand), Mediacorp TV12(Singapore), and TV Globo (Brazil).
The show has also been sold to Nickelodeon (UK), Gulli (France) andSuper RTL (Germany).
ER executive director, international Chloe van den Berg says, “ The Transformers animated series has had an incredible response from broadcastersaround the globe. With 80 territories secured the show is set to bebecome an international hit, springboarding off of the success oflast year’s Transfomers live-action movie that grossed more than $700 million at the boxoffice worldwide.”
ER holds the worldwide television distribution rights (excludingthe US) across both free and pay tv platforms for the series whichpremiered to huge ratings success on Cartoon Network in the US(highest rated kids cable programme in its time slot).
Transformers Animated is the next generation of the strugglebetween the Autobots and the Dcepticons and is being developed byCartoon Network Studios in Los Angeles.
