Anixter Components announces new ranges of Equipment Wire & Cables

Anixter Components (formerly Heyco Limited) has announced theaddition of Alpha Wires popular ranges of single core equipmentwire and flat ribbon cable to its 2008/2009 catalogue. The newrange includes 8 different styles of equipment wire in all thepopular sizes and colours, and 2 different styles of flat ribboncable.

Equipment wires are used extensively for both electrical andelectronic equipment and are required to perform in increasinglycritical environments. The diverse range available includes commonindustry standards like BS4808 pt 2, Tri-Rated, UL1015, UL1061 andUL1007/1569, as well as wires for more demanding applications suchas low smoke emission, extreme temperatures and harsh chemicalenvironments.

The range of DEF 61-12 pt 18 approved cables are manufactured witha thin-wall low fire hazard insulation for reduced levels of smokeand toxic fumes in the event of a fire and rated for 600V a.c or800V d.c applications. PTFE insulated wires are available in rangesconforming to BS3G210 and UL1213 standards and suitable forapplications requiring improved flexibility over a wide temperaturerange and the ability to resist degradation by chemicals.

The Flat Cables now on offer include 28AWG 0.05 pitch in grey orcolour coded conforming to UL standards 2651 and 20932 and areideally suited for connecting printed circuit boards, especiallywhere space is a premium.
