Fuel Inline System Promises 8-12% Fuel Savings

COLORADO SPRINGS - A device that fits in your car's fuel linepromises to shave hundreds of dollars on gas.
It's a four inch piece manufactured by Fuel Eco Systems thatcreators say can be installed in your car in less than 15 minutes.
It promises to give you the most out of every gallon of gas andincrease your horsepower while improving your car's emissions.
"The only thing that it does is it changes the structure of thegas," Dave VanDinter of Fuel Eco Systems says. "To go fromdroplets, per say, to more of a finer mist."
VanDinter introduced NEWSCHANNEL 13 to the technology and even took us for a drive in his VolkswagenBeetle, which uses the device, along I-25. "Within the firstcouple of tanks of gas, I noticed that I had increased gas mileage,at least over 20-some percent."
VanDinter says his miles per gallon ration raised from 21 to 26mpg. Overall, a tank of gas with the device in place increasedfrom 280 per tank to as much as 350 miles per tank. Sinceinstalling the device, VanDinter estimates saving around $100 everymonth.
"To save any money is a really great deal."
He says the device does not modify your engine, and installing itwill not void your warranty. The device can cost around $100 insome cases, depending on the make of your car.
The device is receiving more attention with the rise in fuel costs,however, according to the Fuel Eco Systems' website, it has been onthe market since 1990. The website says despite its age, less thanone percent of the United States even knows about it.
The company says the device enhances your driving and even lowersmaintenance costs.
