CyberResearch, Inc. proudly introduces our new 80% efficient power supplies. Typical efficiencies of older models ran around 60%. The new supplies support loads from 350 W to 1000 W. They accept 12 and 24 Vdc inputs or ac frequencies from 47 to 63 Hz, with input voltages from 100 to 240 Vac or better.
The new high-efficiency CyberResearch® power supplies save users money three ways: First, they use roughly one quarter less energy than the old power supplies they replace. Second, they save the cost of removing that 25% of energy that just produces unwanted heat. Third, they cut operating costs because PCs that run cooler last longer and perform better.
Here's how the math works: Power supplies are rated by the power they deliver to your PC, so a supply rated for 750 W and 60% efficiency requires about 1250 W (750/0.6 = 1250). The leftover 500 W turns to heat inside your PC - exactly where you didn't want it! In contrast, our 80% efficient PWR 750GB (shown) requires only about 938 W of AC power, losing 188 W instead of 500 W and eliminating 312 W of unnecessary cooling and unwanted cost.
In addition to the ten new high-efficiency power supplies - now shipping from stock from $100 to $600 - CyberResearch, Inc., also offers rugged industrial PCs and monitors, as well as CPU cards, SBCs, data acquisition, and motion control.
