Largo, Florida U.S.A., July 1, 2008 - Precision Resistor Company(PRC) has now expanded the capabilities of our vastly succesful PVSseries to include the new PVS5 rated to handle nearly twice theamount of power than the previous best part, the PVS3. A long timeclient & major over seas electronic manufacturer came to us withthe desire to improve on the PVS3 so it could handle more powerwhile being able to dissipate the ambient heat associated withreflow ovens. These ovens are commonly used by major manufacturersto attach electrical components to circuit boards. PRC proved up tothe task by designing the PVS5 complete with a much stronger epoxyresin ratio mixture that could withstand the temperatures seen inmost standard reflow ovens while ensuring the parts do not driftout of close tolerances. In short, we were able to improve on anold part while adhering to the tight electrical specificationsassociated with the PVS series, allowing one of our most prominent& consistent buyers to have great success in the developing andproduction of their new application.
