Nokia 7610 Supernova stylish slider with 2GB memory unveiled

With the launch of its new Supernova series of mobile phones, Nokiaaims to offer a set of stylish mobile phones aimed at both men andwomen, which comes as an addition to the L'Amour collection offashion phones for women in the 7-series. These new phones caneasily be described as competitors to LG's popular Shine and Chocolate phones.

Nokia 7610 Supernova slider phone

Featuring a slide design and smooth curves, the Nokia 7610Supernova ( specs ) offers Xpress-On covers in a choice of a set of Steel Blue andRed covers offset by a muted gray front surface, or Bright Lilacand Steel Blue contrasted against a white front surface. A newTheme Colorizer feature lets a user further tailor a look byapplying colors to the phone's key illumination and wallpaper.

Additional features include a 3.2-megapixel camera with autofocus,instant messaging and TV out for image sharing. The Nokia 7610Supernova also offer a dedicated music key, FM radio, an MP3 playerand access to Nokia Music Store (where available) via the NokiaMusic PC Client.

Operating on GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 networks, the Nokia 7610Supernova will work with both AT&T and T-Mobile networks. Accordingto Nokia, the European sales package will include a 512MB microSDcard, while the North American sales package will include a 2GBmicroSD card. Nokia operates with a suggested retail price of 225EUR before subsidies in Europe, while an unlocked version for theU.S. market will likely cost in the range of $300 to $350. Expectedavailability is set to the third quarter of 2008.

Nokia 7510 Supernova clamshell phone

The Nokia 7510 Supernova ( specs ) boasts a clamshell design with a push-to-open side key. Availablewith Xpress-On front and back covers in Storm Blue, Red, EmeraldGreen and Espresso Brown, the Nokia 7510 features light effectswith a hidden-until-lit display and a reminder light. The Nokia7510 Supernova also features a 2-megapixel camera (with a newproprietary processing algorithm for better pictures in poorlighting conditions), a 512MB microSD card, a 2.2-inch QVGA displayand a new Nokia web browser providing access to Nokia Search, Shareon OVI and Flickr. Additional features include a link to YouTube,access to Nokia Maps 1.2 and support for A-GPS and the NokiaWidSets service. The Nokia 7510 operates on Quadband GSM/EDGEnetworks and will be available in Europe for 180 EUR in the fourthquarter of 2008.

Nokia 7310, 7210 Supernova candybar phones

Nokia today also announced the Nokia 7310 Supernova and Nokia 7210Supernova candybar phones. The former will be available immediatelyin Europe (155 EUR), featuring Xpress-On covers etched with 3Dtextured designs, a 2-megapixel camera and a music player. TheNokia 7210 will be available in Europe in the third quarter of 2008(120 EUR), a phone Nokia claims will provide easy photo sharingthrough a 2-megapixel camera and access to Flickr.
