Jamnagar to step up operations with new plant for Bronze Billets manufacturing

Jamnagar Brass parts which has been known for manufacturing ofBrass turned parts anchors fasteners hex nuts machine screws etcwith exports to 29 countries and a turnover of 19 mn US$ hasdecided to step up its operations by adding a new extrusion plantfor Bronze billets with a capacity for 300 tons/month.This involvesan outlay of 14 mn US$ and a workforce of 225 people. The projectwill be set up in Naghedi Jamnagar .
The machinery for this has already been imported from Italy and thefinance has been worked out with SBS . Initial production willcommence in about 4 months from now and the target market isWestern Europe. Bronze ingots are used for Bronze casting worldwideby Brass Copper and Bronze foundries. Non ferrous casting industryis growing at about 12% P/A thanks to demand in automotive andelectrification.
Mr. Hitesh Shah the Exports director of the company is positive tobreak even in the very first year with envisaged profit for FY 2010of US$ 3 Million. The company also has plans for IPO once theproduction comes on stream and company products like Brassfasteners anchors turned parts Bronze billets are well received inthe European markets.
