R. STAHL introduces the GUBox (type 8265) range ofexplosion-proof/flameproof enclosures which are internationallyapproved for use in zones 1 and 2 as well as class 1 and division1. They are suitable for assembling into motor starters, controlboxes and terminal boxes, and can house switchgear, measuringequipment, circuit boards, power supplies and similar components.The product range consists of four basic sizes. All models areavailable for quick delivery.

The Ex d enclosures are manufactured from a copper-free,seawater-resistant aluminum alloy. Optionally, high quality windowsare available in the lids, allowing users to read the internaldisplays of measuring equipment. The enclosure body is machined tohigh precision and can be fitted with an additional O-ring whichfits securely in place, increasing the ingress protection from IP54to IP66.

Access to the full internal space of the enclosure is a feature ofthe GUBox range. The design incorporates a threaded lid giving highsafety, IIC, certification and unlimited access to the inside ofthe enclosure for installation and maintenance. Explosion and flameproof cable glands or threaded holes for conduit connections can bedrilled directly into the enclosures or indirect entry can besupplied via the R. STAHL range of Ex e enclosures. In addition, R.STAHL offers users application consulting and provides completepackages, including control systems and valid approvals, uponrequest.
