Omron Launches Ultra-Slim FPC Connector with Backlock Mechanism

mron Corp has introduced an ultra-slim 0.6mm connector for FPC (flexible printed circuits), the XF3A. The device has an ultra-low profile, with a pitch of 0.3mm, a height of 0.6mm and a depth of 3.8mm (when locked), representing a 33% reduction compared to the previous models released by the company.

The company expects that the XF3A will become the industry's slimmest FPC connector with a backlock mechanism when it is released this summer.

FPC connectors are used in a wide range of applications, including mobile devices MP3 players and notebook PCs. The XF3A is developed in response to increased demand for slimmer FPC connectors with backlock mechanisms, which support the development of thinner devices.
