New licensing from Texas Instruments

[2008-3-28]

Toumaz Technology has signed a strategic licensing and distribution agreement with Texas Instruments.

Under the terms of the agreement, Abingdon-based Toumaz, which specialises in low power wireless devices, will have access to TI's design, process, and manufacturing capabilities.

"This is an important relationship for Toumaz and reflects the continued progress the business is making and we look forward to working with such a quality business in the future," said Guy Spelman, CEO of Nanoscience, which owns Toumaz.

Toumaz has developed a very low power wireless monitoring system called Sensium based on proprietary semiconductor IP. It will also be able to use TI's sales channels for its products.
