Amphenol's RADSOK-based GT series connectors are available with anassortment of options including solder or crimp termination, gold-or silver-plated contacts, military or commercial finishes,Neoprene or Viton inserts in addition to low smoke/flame retardantinserts, a diverse set of back-end fittings, aluminum or stainlesssteel components and over 250 layouts. Amphe-Power GT connectorsare also interchangeable with Veam-style connectors. The Neopreneand low smoke/flame retardant inserts have an operating range of-55°C to more than 125°C, while the Viton inserts exceedthat range by operating from -50°C to more than 200°C,allowing for greater adaptability in more harsh workingenvironments.
The Amphe-Power GT connectors use Amphenol's patented RADSOKtechnology to provide up to 150% more ampacity than connectorswithout the technology, claims the company. The hyperbolic socketof the RADSOK contact provides a larger contact surface area forgreater conductivity, low voltage drop and low temperature rise.The low temperature drop that allows for more ampacity at highertemperatures is partnered with the GT connector's broad operatingtemperature range to provide increased flexibility in the field.
