IDT Introduces Ultra-Low-Power Timing Solutions for Ultra-Mobile

SAN JOSE, Calif., Jun 30, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) ----IDT(R)(Integrated Device Technology, Inc.) (NASDAQ:IDTI), a leadingprovider of essential mixed signal semiconductor solutions thatenrich the digital media experience, today announced a family ofultra-low-power timing devices designed for use in ultra-mobile PCs(UMPCs). These ultra-low-power timing devices minimally require 1.5volt power supply, as opposed to the 3.3 volts for standard timingdevices, helping extend the battery life of the UMPC.
The IDT UMPC timing devices also help extend the wireless signalrange of the UMPC and improve the bandwidth, resulting in fasterdata transfer rates and improving the end user's mobile Internetexperience. They do this by supporting spread spectrum for reducingelectromagnetic interference (EMI) and supporting programmable slewrate for reducing radio frequency interference (RFI).

The IDT UMPC timing devices feature a 6mm by 6mm micro lead frame(MLF) package, making it 56 percent smaller than standard 8mm by8mm packages, offering IDT customers a significantly reducedfootprint on the board, thus reducing the overall size of the UMPC.
IDT also features pin-compatible UMPC timing devices for automotiveand industrial applications. These devices are designed for use inapplications, such as automotive infotainment, embedded andautomation systems, that require an industrial operatingtemperature range (-40 degrees C to +85 degrees C).

The IDT family of UMPC timing devices (the 9UM9000 series and the9UM700 series) is currently shipping in production and is availablein 32 pins to 56 pins with QFN and SSOP packages.
