Pure Energy Introduces AA Alkaline Battery

 ("Pure Energy" or the "Corporation"), the leading Canadian
provider of environmentally responsible battery and lawn & garden products,
reported that it is introducing two lines of Pure Energy brand cordless
phone batteries and battery packs.

In August 2008, Pure Energy is introducing a complete line of rechargeable
Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) cordless phone batteries and battery packs.
Unlike the more traditional Nickel Cadmium (NiCd) rechargeable cordless
phone batteries, Pure Energy's NiMH products will provide longer cycle life
and more talk time between charges. These batteries are also more
environmentally responsible as they do not contain Cadmium. Health hazards
associated with Cadmium has led to the banning of NiCd batteries for
consumer applications in the European Union effective this September.

Pure Energy is also introducing a line of proprietary Rechargeable Alkaline
cordless phone battery packs for release AA Alkaline Battery in 2009. Rechargeable Alkaline
cordless phone batteries can be recharged 1000's of times and have
significant cost and performance benefits over NiCd and NiMH cordless phone
batteries including longer "reserve" talk and "standby" time. Unlike NiCd
and NiMH they are also ready-to-use out of the package.
