Electrical fire hits Fox marquee

An electrical fire prompted firefighters to briefly block a section of Woodward Avenue as they battled the blaze.

Ten-inch flames could be seen near the neon lighting along the bottom of the sign shortly after 9 p.m., according to Free Press reporting partner WDIV-Local 4.

Despite the blaze, the sign continued to function after firefighters cleared out, Local 4 reported.

No one from the Fox Theatre could be reached for comment.
