With the energy-efficient, yet powerful 1.6 GHz Intel®Core˙2 Duo processor, draft n WLAN, EVDO/HSDPA wirelessconnectivity and up to 12 + 12 hours battery operation, the KontronNotePAC Pro B300 can be configured to meet all the demands ofoutdoor professionals who rely on high computing performancecombined with extensive communication abilities and extremeautonomy in the field. This makes the compact Kontron NotePAC ProB300 the ideal hardcore companion for professionals working in thefield services, utilities, processing industries, professionaloutdoor sports, public safety and public services as well asdefense. The Kontron NotePAC Pro B300 solves the problem of outdoor screenviewability thanks to its 13.3 inch XGA (1024 x 768) display withthe option of the industry's first high-brightness, sunlightreadable panel of 1200 nits (standard display has 500 nits). Evenwhen it is equipped with a resistive touch screen, the KontronNotePAC Pro B300 exceeds the industry standard of 1000 nits that isdeemed to be the brightest value currently available on the market.The brightness of competing panels can be reduced by 20-30 percentwhen touch screen functionality is added. This record has beenachieved via a new energy saving LED-backlight that offers greaterlegibility without sacrificing battery life. Furthermore, theKontron NotePAC Pro B300 features an auto brightness adjustment; alight sensor detects ambient lighting conditions and adjusts thepanel's brightness automatically which increases viewing comfortand conserves battery power. Another first for the Kontron NotePACPro B300 is the optional "Night Vision" mode, which meetsthe MIL-STD-3009 specification. It is based on a patentedmicro-current control technology (an embedded mask) that eliminatesthe need for an optical screen filter when wearing night visiongoggles and uses a sophisticated software algorithm to switcheasily between normal and Night Vision Mode.
