HayssenSandiacre, a form/fill/sealtechnologies and services leader for more than 100 years, continues a long historyof producing top-quality flow wrapping machinery by announcing thelaunch of its newest model flow wrapping machine, the Rose Forgrove"Athena." The Athena will complement the company's existing Merlinand Minerva range of machines and is its most flexible flow wrapperto date.

The Athena has been developed in both PC and PLC control systemarchitecture with simple, graphic-style touch-screen Human MachineInterfaces. With its multi-servo axis drives, this machine iscapable of wrapping products in a variety of heat and cold sealmaterials at speeds from 5 to 300 per minute. The Athena's robustframe allows this machine to accept features necessary for nonstopproduction. It is capable of hosting twin splicing reel gear, fullyautomated in-line feeding conveyors and automated reject stations.

These features allow the Athena to receive products from continuousor intermittent supply systems and run for hours without operatorintervention. Interest in the new model is high, with severaladvance orders from major food and hygiene companies in both Europeand North America.
