Question: I used my phone's camera to take a lot of photos. Storage space onthe phone is filling up. So, I'd like to transfer the photos fromthe phone to my computer. How do I do this?
Answer: Does your phone have a memory card? If so, remove the card andplug it into a card reader. Plug that into your computer. Drag anddrop the photos to the computer. If your phone has Bluetooth, trythat. Your computer needs Bluetooth as well. You can pick up acomputer's Bluetooth dongle for about $20. Or, run a USB cable fromyour phone to the computer. You'll need software to move thephotos. Try BitPim. It works with many popular phones. See www.komando.com/news for a link. If all else fails, e-mail yourself the photos fromyour phone.
Q: I need help cleaning up my computer. I have a lot of temporaryfiles. And I've found a number of prefetch files. How can I removethese files?
A: I suggest you download the free CCleaner. You'll find it at www.komando.com/news . This program cleans up your Web history, temporary files andmore. You shouldn't have trouble deleting the necessary files.CCleaner also will remove old prefetch data. But that data must beat least two weeks old. I wouldn't remove the prefetch data.Windows uses it to start the computer faster. If you delete it,your computer could slow significantly.
Q: My computer's clock is exactly one hour off. I reset it, but itdoes no good. The computer changes the time. What's going on withmy computer?
A: Daylight saving time is probably the issue. Open the clock inyour lower right corner. Select Time Zone in Windows XP, or "Changetime zone" in Windows Vista. Be sure your clock is set to the righttime zone. Not all time zones use daylight saving time. Also, ifyou have XP, be sure it is updated. The start and end of daylightsaving time changed in 2005. Microsoft updated XP to adjust itsclock. You can also try different clocks. Citrus Alarm and ClocXare both interesting. I have links to them at www.komando.com/news .

A: Look for a night vision monocular. It should have an infraredilluminator. The red flashlights you use are infrared. Then, youcan buy an adapter to connect the monocular to a digital SLR lens. You can make sure that the flash doesn't go off. And, you can usethe viewfinder. The LCD would produce light. Yukon, Night Owl andBushnell make night vision monoculars. You'll find camera adaptersmade by ATN, Night Owl and Rigel. I have links at www.komando.com/news.

It also plays Flashvideos. All of these programs are free. You can find links for themat www.komando.com/news.
