Brush Wellman Inc. Appoints Mark M. Comerford President of Alloy

Brush Wellman Inc. announced today that Mark M. Comerford has beenappointed President, Alloy Products.

Alloy Products is the largest business unit within Brush WellmanInc.

Comerford now has senior management responsibility for AlloyProducts' manufacturing, technology, supply chain and commercialactivities. With domestic manufacturing operations in Elmore andLorain, Ohio, and Reading, Pennsylvania, Alloy Productsmanufactures and distributes high performance copper-based,nickel-based and aluminum-based alloys primarily for use in theelectronics, energy, aerospace, tooling, heavy equipment andtelecommunications markets. It also operates distribution centersin Detroit and Chicago.

Comerford joined Brush Wellman as Managing Director of BrushWellman (Singapore) Pte Ltd. in 1998, with responsibility forexpanding the company's role in Southeast Asia. He transferred toCleveland in 2001 to assume the role of Vice President, Sales -Strip Products, within the Alloy Products group. Since March 2006he has served as President of Brush International, Inc.

Prior to joining Brush Wellman, he worked at Carpenter Technologyand American Brass in various metallurgical engineering,international and commercial management positions.

He is a 1984 graduate of the University of Notre Dame with aBachelor of Science degree in metallurgical engineering andmaterials science and holds an MBA from Canisius College ofBuffalo, New York.
