China tourism board to visit Taiwan

A delegation, invited by Taiwan Cross-Strait Tourism Association, will visit Taiwan from June 16th to 26th, Tootoo.com reports. The group, whose travel agency is eligible for cross-strait tourism, consists of 39 representatives from the Chinese mainland's tourism industry.
The visiting delegation, led by Fan Guishan, executive director and under-secretary-general of the cross-strait tourism association,is the first batch of China mainland travel agencies designated to manage the cross-strait tourism business. During this visit, they will go to Taiwan's scenic spots and hotels, and discuss prospects for cooperation with the Taiwan tourism industry.
The first tourist group will set off on July 4th and China mainland's cross-strait tourism will have its official debut on July 18th. In the meantime, 33 travel agencies have participated in this initial cross-strait tourism cooperation.
