Semi-Finalists in The SDP Third Annual Decorating Contest

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) June 20, 2008 -- Kristine Porter, ExecutiveDirector is pleased to announce that The Society of DecoratingProfessionals (The SDP ( http://www.thesdp.com )) has named the semi-finalists of its Annual Decorating PhotoContest. Held in conjunction with The SDP Annual Conference, thegoal of the contest is to recognize the high quality of work thatmembers perform while making a difference in their clients' homes.
Photos are judged in two divisions: The SDP Members and The SDPTrainers, and five categories: Redesign, Staging, Color,Accessorizing and Decorating (budget of over $300). A committeeincluding the Board of Directors served as judges, reviewing themyriad sets of before and after photos submitted. Thesemi-finalists in each category are:

The winner of each category will be chosen by the membership inattendance at The SDP's Annual Education Conference to be heldAugust 6-8, 2008 at The Wild Horse Pass Resort in Chandler,Arizona.
The SDP Annual Education Conference is open to both members andnon-members who want to expand their knowledge of the decoratingindustry. Keynote speakers Mary Carol Garrity, author of six booksand owner of three retail stores: Nell Hill's, Garrity's and NellHills' at Briarcliff Village and entrepreneur and author TerriBowersock of Terri's Consign and Design are sure to delight andmotivate. Specialists in the field of interior redesign, realestate staging and other decorating specialties will offer breakoutsessions in their areas of expertise.
