Charges reveal man bound Jones with cords bought in Salt Lake County

The man charged with the kidnapping and disappearance of DeborahJones apparently admitted to binding her hands and feet and thensealing her inside a large plastic container using bungee cords,according to a federal charge filed Friday.
Michael Doyel was charged Friday with one count of kidnapping.According to the charge filed in U.S. District Court, Jones waslast seen with Doyel on April 16 at a Perkins restaurant in SaltLake City in surveillance video.
Her body was later discovered in her car on April 21 in Branson,Mo., "in a large plastic container, sealed with bungee cords, inthe back of her car ... her body was bound at the arms and legs bynylon cord, partially clothed. Ms. Jones was placed facing up withher arms and legs tied behind her back," the charge said.
Purchasing records showed Doyel had purchased a large plasticcontainer from a Lowes hardware store in West Jordan on April 18and plastic wrap and a tarp at a Wal-Mart in West Valley City a daylater.
After his arrest in Branson, Doyel told agents he placed Jones inthe container and masked the odor with stick deodorant. He alsoadmitted to stalking her weeks before the abduction.
