ICL Industrial Products opens a new subsidiary in China

ICLIndustrial Products recently announced it is opening a newsubsidiary in China, Jiaxing ICLChemical Co., Ltd.

Jiaxing ICL Chemical Co. Ltd is already involved the establishmentof acomprehensive production base in Zhapu, Jiaxing to produceflame retardantsand water treatment products. Among others, JiaxingICL Chemical will produceFyrol PCF and Fyroflex BDP. In addition tothese flame retardants, JiaxingICL Chemical will also produceBCDMH, a major water treatment biocide. Whenon stream, theseefficient chemical additives will serve the growing demandof theelectronics, housing and water treatment industries in China andAsia.

Fyrol PCF (Tris (2-chloroisopropyl) phosphate) and FyrolflexBDP(Bisphenol-A bis (diphenyl phosphate)) are highly efficientphosphorus-basedflame retardants; Fyrol PCF is used for flexiblepolyurethane foams infurniture and bedding, as well as for rigidpolyurethane foams forconstruction applications. Fyrolflex BDP isused in engineering thermoplasticcompounds, primarilypolycarbonate/ABS blends, polyphenylene oxide/highimpactpolystyrene blends.

BCDMH is used as biocide for water treatment, mainly in swimmingpools.

ICL-IP Industrial Products is one of ICL's three operatingsegments.It produces bromine, magnesia and chlorine from Dead Sea brines,andmanufactures and markets a range of compounds, including a largevarietyof flame retardants, bromides for industry, agriculture andwater treatmentproducts, as well as a range of magnesia products,phosphorous andchlorine-based products for numerous uses.
