A Girard-Perregaux automatic movement will animate the limited edition BoucheronReflet XL Automatic watch, a new timepiece which Boucheron hascreated to celebrate its 150th anniversary.
Presented in stainless steel, steel and gold, 18K gold, orplatinum, the Boucheron Reflet XL Automatic measures 45mm X 31mmand is therefore the largest Reflet timepiece the company has evermanufactured. The origins of the Reflet date back to 1947, whenBoucheron applied for a patent to protect its invisible slidingclasp system. Also famous for its unique system that enables theeasy interchangeability of straps and bracelets, the BoucheronReflet watch has remained popular with both sexes over the decades.
For the mechanism of this special watch, Boucheron turned to famedSwiss watchmaker Girard-Perregaux . The manufacture's 4000 caliber movement ticks inside the RefletXL Automatic, and is revealed through the elliptical sapphirecaseback window. The rotor has been relieved to showcase theBoucheron commemorative stamp, and the bridges dispense with themore typical Côtes de Genève decorative pattern, in favor of a unique cross-machined texture. The balance wheel frequency of the GP 4000 caliber is 28,800 beatsper hour, and power reserve is 40 hours.
