Concho Valley Water-Wise Landscaping Workshop Slated June 10

Texas AgriLife Extension Service's Concho Valley Master GardenersAssociation is hosting "Water-Wise Landscaping" at 7 p.m. June 10in the Tom Green County 4-H Center at 3168 N. U.S. Highway 67 atSan Angelo.

Kay Thompson, Master Gardener program coordinator, says theworkshop should put to rest some of the popular misconceptionsabout low-water-use plants.

"We hesitated to call this a Xeriscape workshop because many peoplehave a picture in their minds of rock and cactus when they see thattitle," says Thompson. "That's the image we are trying to steeraway from.
