First Open Verification Methodology (OVM) World Summit to Be Held ...

(NASDAQ: MENT) today announced that the inaugural OpenVerification Methodology (OVM) World Summit will be held Thursday,June 12 aligned with the Design Automation Conference (DAC) inAnaheim, Calif. This event will provide OVM users an opportunity tointeract, share their successful experiences, and learn aboutupcoming enhancements to the methodology and its supportinglibrary.
The summit agenda includes multiple user presentations reportingthe results of using the OVM on industrial projects, an opportunityfor audience members to pose questions to a panel of OVM users, anda presentation from Mentor and Cadence on enhancement plans. Theevent runs from 7:40 a.m. until 11 a.m., including a complimentarybreakfast. Open Verification Methodology
The Open Verification Methodology, based on IEEE Std. 1800(TM)-2005SystemVerilog standard, is the first open, language-interoperable,SystemVerilog verification methodology in the industry. It providesa methodology and accompanying library that allow users to createmodular, reusable verification environments in which componentscommunicate with each other via standard transaction-level modelinginterfaces. It also enables intra- and inter-company reuse througha common methodology and classes for virtual sequences andblock-to-system reuse, and full integration with other languagescommonly used in production flows.
