Delivering a lecture on ‘Power of the youth’ afterlaying foundation stone for the JSS Ayurvedic College and Hospital,he said that during his tenure in Anna University, a biotechnologist and a traditional Siddha medical practitioner got apatent for a new molecule they discovered in herb as an anti cancerdrug.

He said that new technologies as evidenced by human genomesequencing, proteomics, chemogenomics, ultra high throughputscreening is revolutionising drug discovery.

He noted that youth was the most powerful resource on the earth andif properly directed and controlled, could bring abouttransformational changes in humanity for its progress, meeting itschallenges and bring peace and prosperity. “I have started amovement called “Lead India 2020 movement”. It isindeed a youth movement, with the mission for young students basedon the 10 point oath which I have specially designed.
