Oil-Dri Corporation of America (Oil-Dri), incorporated in 1969, isengaged in developing, manufacturing and marketing sorbentproducts. The Company's sorbent products are principally producedfrom clay minerals and, to a lesser extent, other sorbentmaterials. Oil-Dri's sorbent technologies include absorbent andadsorbent products. The Company's absorbent clay products includeCat's Pride and Jonny Cat premium cat litter and other cat litters.It also produces Oil-Dri Premium, Absorbs-It floor absorbents,Agsorb granular agricultural chemical carriers and ConditionAdeanimal feed binders. Oil-Dri's adsorbent products include Oil-Drisynthetic sorbents, which are used for industrial cleanup, andPure-Flo, Pure-Flo Supreme, Perform and Select bleaching clayproducts, which act as a filtration media for edible oils, fats andtallows. The Company's Ultra-Clear product serves as aclarification aid for petroleum-based oils and by-products. Oil-Drioperates in two segments: Retail and Wholesale Products Group andBusiness to Business Products Group.
The Retail and Wholesale Products Group customers include massmerchandisers, wholesale clubs, drugstore chains, pet retailoutlets, dollar stores, retail grocery stores, distributors ofindustrial cleanup and automotive products and environmentalservice companies. Business to Business Products Group customersinclude processors and refiners of edible and petroleum-based oils,animal feed manufacturers, manufacturers of agricultural chemicalsand sports turf users. Sales to Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. accounted forapproximately 23% of the Company's total net sales for the fiscalyear ended July 31, 2007 (fiscal 2007). Wal-Mart is a customer inthe Retail and Wholesale Products Group segment. Sales to TheClorox Company (Clorox) accounted for approximately 8% of Oil-Dri'stotal net sales in fiscal 2007. Clorox is a customer in theBusiness to Business Products Group segment.
