South Lake Tahoe steals the spotlight this summer with non-stopaction and events to keep you hopping all season long. Do yourselfa favor and bookmark this article or save it in your my tahoe account for later, because you're going to need it if you don'twant to miss anything this summer!

Here's the line-up:
• June 20-22, The Fourth Annual Opening Days Lake Tahoe
Spotlight events include a free Block Party along Highway 50 withthree stages of live music; the Miss Hawaiian Tropic NorthernNevada State Finals; a skateboarding contest; a freestyle motocrossjumping exhibition; Flying Elvi  lots of Elvis Presleys  sky diveteam, a Disney-themed boat parade; the Great Lake TahoeSternwheeler Race; custom Harley Davidson and hot rod car displays;food vendors; headliner entertainment and the combination of24-hour indoor and outdoor activities. • June 28-29, Blue Lake Tahoe Geocaching Treasure Hunt
Nearly 100 prizes will be stashed throughout the area waiting to bestalked by an anticipated 500 ambitious GPS-wielding trackers. TheLake Tahoe Visitors Authority will offer a variety of prizes toreflect the unique nature of the area such as certificates topopular Tahoe restaurants, concerts, festival tickets, boatcruises, overnight accommodations, rounds of golf, bowling, iceskating and various local activities. • June 28, 19th Annual Lake in the Sky Air Show
Featuring stunt aviator performers and military aircraft fly-bys,as well as displays of Apache and Blackhawk helicopters, an F-18Super Hornet and an MV22 Osprey aircraft, the South Lake TahoeAirport celebrate its 50th anniversary with many of the worlds topaircraft and aerobatics performers, including one of the Worldsyoungest female pilots. • July 4, Lights on the Lake
Named the largest pyro show in the West by America Onlines CityGuide, the American Pyrotechnics Association rates South Shoresspectacular Fourth of July fireworks celebration one of the Top 5displays in the nation. Enjoy the company of more than 100,000 whoshow up to watch the fantastic disply synchronized to musicbroadcast on local stations KRLT-FM 93.9 and KOWL-AM 1490. • July 8-13, American Century Celebrity Golf Championship
With the field of luminaries the brightest in its 19 year history,the annual American Century Celebrity Golf Championship at EdgewoodTahoe Golf Course is expected to set new attendance records. • Aug. 6, 14 & 17, Shakespeare on the Lawn

Not only does South Lake Tahoe have a magnificent display offireworks for the 4th of July, but the area puts on an impressiveshow for Labor Day as well.
