Henan province discovers large nickel mine
It is reported that central China's Henan Provincial Bureau of Geoexploration & Mineral Development lately discovered a large coppernickel ore deposit at Zhou'an in Tanghe county with total value ofover CNY130 billion, the largest nickel mine found in the provinceso far.

Reserve of the deposit amounts to some 1.53 million tonnesincluding nickel of 324,300 tonnes; copper by 120,000 tonnes;silver by 588 tonnes; chromic oxide by 465,300 tonnes; cobalt by10,600 tonnes and some 700t for other 14 kinds of associatedminerals.

The ore deposit is 400 to 900 meters underground.
