Polyurethanes: Stable to slightly firming prices in May

Prices for polymeric MDI remained stable in Europe in May, thenewsletter Plastics Information Europe (PIE, Bad Homburg / Germany; www.pieweb.com ) says in a report currently online.
Banking on a tailwind from the US, pure MDI gained some groundagainst April, while TDI added around EUR 20/t. Price increments ofup to EUR 50/t were spotted for premium grades of flexible polyols,although the feedstock-backed stormy growth seen in the firstquarter appears to be over. PIE says. Rigid polyols remainedstable, with a slight upward tendency, the newsletter notes.
