Balluff Rolls Out Broadest Capacitive Sensor Line Florence, KY (June 2008): Balluff is introducing a new capacitivesensor line for proximity and level detection applications. Withover 250 models to choose from, it's the most extensive capacitivesensor line available. Offering a wide variety of body styles, sensing ranges, harsh environmental ratings, and advancedfunctionality, this expansion of the Balluff technology portfoliocreates an unprecedented single-source solutions capability forindustrial sensor applications.

Balluff's level-control capacitive sensors can detect solids orliquids through the walls of non-metallic containers, withoutdirect contact to the target material. Advanced versions canreliably detect true liquid levels while ignoring false signalsresulting from foaming, material build-up, clumping solids, orfilm-forming liquids inside (or outside) the container. Balluff'scapacitive proximity sensors can detect metallic or non-metallictargets at distances up to 25mm, independently of color or surfacetexture.
