Semtech expands presence in China with new design center in Shenzhen

The center's comprehensive Protection testing laboratory matchesthe capability available at Semtech's US headquarters, offeringextensive testing capabilities and ESD protection consultancy tosupport a wide range of customers in telecomm, mobile phones,set-top boxes, digital TVs, and other high-end consumerapplications.
The center is also equipped with state-of-the-artequipment and is being staffed with experienced engineers tosupport customers designing analog platforms in the high-endConsumer, Communications, Computing and Industrial segments. Theoffice will focus on ultra-low power and green power applicationsand will initially provide system-level application support, systemtesting, turnkey solution assistance and reference designdevelopment.
"Expanding our design and application assistance in Chinaallows us to provide our customers in the region with a broad rangeof resources and support for leveraging Semtech's advancedtechnology in their designs," said Dr. Liu Yang, Director ofthe Center. "We are committed to providing a higher level ofservice to our customers and helping to speed theirtime-to-market."
