DyStar to showcase compact range of dyes for leather & fur at ACLE

DyStar is showcasing its full range of dyes and auxiliaries forwet-end leather and fur processing at its "World of Leather"exhibit in Shanghai.

DyStar's staff are specialists in solving problems at allproduction stages from the beamhouse and wet-end processing to topfashion colors.

The exhibit centers on high-fashion, heavy vegetable retannedleathers for classic men's shoes, bags and belt leather, producedwith recipes incorporating Eskatan GLSW, Cutapol LAP and CutapolTIS-VT.

Cutapol LAP significantly improves the elasticity of the grain, soeven leather produced with strong retans can be processed withoutgrain cracks.

A combination of Cutapol TIS-VT and Eskatan GLSW gives especiallysoft, full leather with an excellent tight grain. Tannit REP can beadded to retanning floats to enhance grain tightness.

A melamine resin from DyStar's new range of powder syntans with astrong filling effect on the bellies and shoulder areas greatlyimproves cutting yield.

Efficient dispersion of vegetable retanning agents is essential foruniform fullness and tightness of grain. We are exhibiting TannitDPS as an ideal product for this.

DyStar is also exhibiting articles containing little or novegetable tanning agent with good fastness to light and heat.Tannit STP, a liquid syntan for a broad spectrum of applications,is a real problem-solver giving a strong filling effect andoutstanding fastness properties.

DyStar has continued to extend its compact range of dyes forleather and fur. Alongside a wide variety of shades that can bedyed readily with combinations of our homogeneous dyes, the exhibitincludes new dyes such as Solvaderm Brown MF-GO.

This warm, neutral, mid-brown has no reddish cast and isparticularly suitable for shoe upper leather. Its main features aregood penetration, high build-up and excellent value for money.

Another recent development is Solvaderm Grey MC-CC, which meets thedemanding specifications of the automotive industry. This dye has aneutral to slightly greenish cast and can be used for a wide rangeof shades from pale pastels with excellent penetration to a strongmiddle grey.

Our second new grey dye, Solvaderm Grey MC-GB, also has excellentfastness properties. It has a blue cast and excellent penetrationand can be used for both pale and heavy shades of grey.

In top dyeing it can also produce a strong anthracite. This dye issuitable for all types of leather, including automotive, clothing,upholstery, shoe and bag leather. It produces full, warm hues onthe suede side of fur without any risk of staining the fur.

Brilliant deep black shades on full-grain and velour leather andfur are obtained with another new dye: Solvaderm Black MC-FK.

Its neutral shade and high fastness properties are suitable forpenetration dyeing and, above all, top dyeing. One special featureis its suitability for double-face dyeings with wool resist.
