Many plastic toys contain toxic phthalates and Bisphenol-A (BPA),but that's not going to stop a baby from giving them the mouthtest. It's part of normal development, which these chemicals can interfere with, studies show. For that matter, parents andother adults, given a choice, prefer to go hormone-disruptor-freein products they eat and drink from, as shown by the surge ofinterest in the new reusable water bottles and baby bottles made without BPA. Below are some safer, greener plastics forplaying and picnicking, made of recycled non-leaching plastic.
