Flint Group announces sales price increases for printing inkseffective 1st of July, as a consequence of strongly increasing rawmaterial costs. The price increases will be up to 20% depending onproduct type.
The escalating prices for crude oil related materials and thecritical supply situation for precursors of pigments andintermediates from China coupled with shortages due to theenvironmental restrictions imposed by the Chinese government aroundthe Olympic Games in Beijing are driving up costs dramatically, forink manufacturers.
"Flint Group is fully committed to supply its customer basereliably with quality products in this difficult phase of shortsupply of raw materials," says Dr. Dirk Aulbert, President FlintGroup Europe. "However with the current surge in raw material cost,the implementation of these price increases is a necessity. "Headds in saying: "The current dynamic in the raw material markets isputting a strain on the entire value chain and is forcing difficultmessages to customers about resetting the value proposition for ourproducts."
