The Distillation Column object provides dynamic models for afull-scale column configuration, including reboiler, condenser andreflux receiver. The configurable model options allow creating themodels in a wide range of functionality and complexity needed forthe particular applications. Process plant users can build complexdistillation simulation models quickly for significantly less timeand money.
The objects integrate directly with MiMiC simulation using processvariable tags. The package has visualization tools (graphs andtables) that provide users with a deep online insight into theobject states (dynamics for the column pressure, flow, temperatureand composition profiles).
The MiMiC Distillation Modeling Package has been used byworld-class petrochemical facilities. It has been proven to improveoperational effectiveness, reduce process downtime, and validateprocess automation system design.
