SSFII Turbo HD Remix Beta Plagued with Freezing Problems

We reported earlier in the week that a few lucky people were ableto get into the Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix beta earlierthan expected with someone at Capcom flicking the switch a coupledays in advance. Well, the full beta launched today and as you canimagine thousands of Street Fighter fans flocked onto their360’s to finally get their hands on this fightingmasterpiece. One thing they weren’t expecting was theinability to actually play the game.

SSF II Turbo HD Remix beta seems to be plagued with freezingproblems while trying to connect to online matches. Now we knowthis is a beta and things go unexpectedly wrong, but the point isto get feedback from the actual game. The big question is how isthat supposed to happen if players can’t even get it running?The freeze results in having to switch off the Xbox 360 altogetherand then rebooting. Sadly, this doesn’t seem to resolve theissue.

Sven of the official Capcom Blog had this to say to the people complaining of the freezes andasking if the beta will be patched:

“We will not be patching the beta... resubmissions would costa fortune and not go live for weeks even if we had (MS would haveto reapprove every submission). This isn’t like the PC wherea developer can make changes daily (for good or ill). All feedbackand bugs will be factored into the final code.”

Not the best start to the beta really is it?
