JS Elite Flooring Co. has opened a new 53,000-square-foot showroomin Myrtle Beach, moving from its former spot on Robert M. GrissomParkway.
"We just had a limited amount of products, just basically set upfor the builder," said JS Elite president Jeff Schassler. "Wewanted to expand ourselves to the retail customer."
The new showroom includes products such as granite countertops,tile, carpet, wood flooring products and an art gallery of SicisItalian Mosaic Tile.
Schassler and his partner Dave Scrudato started the company in astorage unit in Myrtle Beach in 2004.
They have since expanded, launching a granite and marblefabrication division in 2007 and buying a natural stone store inCharleston this year, Schassler said.
They hope to open stores in Hilton Head Island and Savannah, Ga.,in 2009, Schassler said.
The new Myrtle Beach showroom is at 1330 17th Ave. S., NorthIndustrial Park, Suite A.

New bead shop owner offers classes
Blue Wave Beads in downtown Conway has re-opened under newownership.
The bead shop's new owner, Darlene Cormier, has extended thestore's hours and is offering classes to teach skills such asbeading with fabrics and working with silver clay. Shoppers canalso find supplies, tools and accessories for making jewelry.
Blue Wave Beads, at 1112 Third Ave., was closed for about twomonths during the transition and just re-opened this week, shesaid.
