Big hats and big blooms were in vogue for Ladies Day - accessorisedwith sunglasses.

Florals were a popular choice for Thursday's racing - the third dayat Ascot. The Sex And The City film effect took hold with a mass ofbold blooms and oversized floral corsages, either worn on dressesor featuring in hairstyles.

Rich jewel colours such as fuchsia pink, indigo, aqua blue andsunshine yellow were also predominant.

On hats and fascinators, contrast feathers featured heavily.

For the failsafe option, ladies turned to chic monochrome prints.Classic top-to-toe black or cream were also as popular as ever,contrasted with bright hats.
