Soligie, a market leader in the design and manufacture of printedelectronics, announced that the Company has been awarded contractsto develop a drug delivery patch and a smart packaging product thatutilize Soligie's high-speed roll-to-roll electronics productionline. Prototype versions have been delivered and are in testing.

A key objective of printed electronics is to manufacture complexproducts with multiple materials on a continuous web at speeds forhigh volume production. Soligie has moved this goal closer tocommercial reality using proprietary processes developed onSoligie's roll-to-roll production line.

"We are excited to be shipping medical patch and smart packagingcomponents to customers who are leaders in their respectiveindustries," said Matt Timm, President of Soligie. "This type ofprogress is essential for the printed electronics industry toachieve the game-changing results expected by analysts."

These products utilize numerous conductive silver andsilver/silver-chloride inks as well as carbon-based resistors, dielectric materials and vias, all to be manufactured in a singlepass on a continuous web at high speeds. Timm further commented,"These contract wins are indicative of the value that Soligiebrings to those companies that seek a manufacturing partner forprinted electronics. In the future, through our network ofpartnerships and strategic alliances, we will offer manufacturingand design services for products that also contain displays, memory, sensors, batteries and ultimately printed transistors andlogic."

About Soligie

Soligie is the leading company to utilize high speed manufacturingto produce printed electronics with a variety of conductive, resistive and proprietary materials on flexible substrates such asPET, paper and foil. The Company is on the cutting edge of a newindustry that will enable production of electronic components usinghigh speed, roll-to-roll processes. Soligie offers a full range ofservices from concept design, circuit design, design formanufacturing and final volume production, and currently serves themedical device, smart packaging, RFID and flexible interconnectmarkets. Through the combined use of emergent materials andproprietary manufacturing processes, electronics components such asmemory, sensors, displays and batteries will soon be integratedinto applications on thin flexible substrates. Soligie is alsoinvesting in the development of processes for printed thin-filmtransistors that can be used in products such as smart labels, medical patches and chipless RFID tags. Soligie is located inSavage, Minnesota and is owned by the Taylor Corporation.
