Newport’s premier food and entertainment festival, the Tasteof Newport, celebrates 20 years at Fashion Island today throughSunday. The super-tasty event has allowed the Newport Beach Chamberof Commerce to give more than $172,000 over the years to localorganizations.

The weekend party attracts more than 60,000 guests who come tosample gourmet foods from more than 30 local restaurants, and totaste wines, cocktails and handcrafted beers. Live bands performonstage throughout the event. This year’s main acts includeThird Eye Blind today, Styx on Saturday and UB40 on Sunday.

Sample cuisines range from casual to fine dining. Purchase ticketsat the gate Friday and Saturday for $25. Times are 6 to 11 p.m.today; 4 to 11 p.m. Saturday; and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday at NewportCenter Drive.
