Gentry ignited an Edwardsburg squad which fell behind 1-0 after theBucks got a goal from Ryan Catalano with 35:50 left in the firsthalf.
Catalano weaved through several Edwardsburg defenders beforescoring.
Buchanan upped its shot advantage to 4-1 before the Eddies got intoan offensive rhythm behind Gentry.
Gentry came up short on two shots before scoring on a breakawaymidway through the first half to tie the match at 1-1.
"His first goal was perfect," said Edwardsburg coach RyanRosenkranz. "He's a very good player. He's selfish when he needs tobe and unselfish when he needs to be. Him and Zach Karamalegos workvery well up top together. Those two have the majority of our goalsthis year."
Gentry scored again 13 minutes later after taking advantage of arebound shot off of Buchanan goalie Tyler Knisely.
Edwardsburg took control early in the second half when Gentryscored twice two minutes into the second half.
Gentry got a scare a few seconds after his fourth goal when he hadto leave with a leg injury. He returned to action midway throughthe second half.
"I turned right into a kick going for the ball and got a stinger onmy leg," Gentry said. "It's still a little sore."
The scoring was concluded by a goal from the Eddies' Trent Bybeewith 36:20 left in the match.
Edwardsburg finished with a 20-9 shots-on-goal advantage.
"It's seems like we have to be down in order to start playing ourgame," Rosenkranz said. "I tried to stress before this game that wereally needed to start out strong. We can't give teams theopportunity to keep fighting. We need to jump on teams and we wereable to do that in the second half (against Buchanan)."
Buchanan coach Brian Pruett was visibly frustrated with little tosay after the match.
"We didn't play well," said Pruett.
