Submitted 2008-08-13 22:09:19 What man or woman wouldn't love to take a day off and go to yourlocal day spa to be pampered and spoiled? The services they providethese days are so fabulous. There is something for everyone and forevery budget.

You can go to spend a lunch hour to just have a neck massage ormaybe a manicure. Or you can go for a few hours or a full day andhave a massage, manicure and pedicure. You can even go for aweekend and spend it in a beautiful country Inn where you arepampered to the max. Although, that would be a several day spa!

These packages also make an amazing gift for someone special. Lastyear, I purchased an Ultimate Glamour Package for my mother at alocal spa. She had the whole kit and caboodle and was extremelygrateful. First, they had her change into a soft, cozy robe andslippers. She had a facial which included a facial steam to openthe pores, followed by exfoliation of the face and neck. Treatmentconcluded with a therapeutic mask and hydrating moisturizer. Thealso did a complete make-up application but not until she was donewith the other services. The other pampering included a veryrelaxing Swedish body massage followed by the application of hotstones, while they played very calming music in the background. Shewas then led to a room where they served her an Organic Strawberryand Almond Salad and a glass of Champagne. By the time they set herup to do a manicure and pedicure, she said it felt like she was inheaven.

There is not a city in the world that does not have a Spa within 15miles. You can spend a day there for your own pleasure or you canget a gift certificate for any occasion to give to a loved one. Ialso know of girlfriends that have spent a day having themselvesall primped for weddings or proms. The services can include; allhair services from a cut to extensions applied, permanent makeupapplications, eyelash extensions, every massage imaginable,airbrush tanning or tanning booths. This is all in addition to themany usual services you will find at a spa such as the numerousfacials, massages and nail packages.

I don't care what budget you are on or what luxury you are lookingfor, a day at a local spa is a fabulous way to spoil anyone. Youcan go online and find one near you or anywhere you are traveling.Just remember to leave all your troubles and worries at the doorstep and enjoy your day...you deserve it!
