Heather Tsanadis opened the spa at Lenox Village in January.
"My husband and I live here, (and) one day we were taking a walk,"she said.
David McGowan, president of Lenox Village, LLC, approached them andasked if they were interested in any retail space at the megamixed-used development.
Tsanadis had been interested in opening a spa and decided to lookat some spaces that were available.
"We love the neighborhood so much, we thought it would be great tohave a business here," she said.
"It's very cute, quaint. I could walk to work." Also, she said,"there are a lot of young people at Lenox Village."
Tsanadis said she also likes being near the other businesses andlooks forward to more merchants moving into the neighborhood.
She said the businesses there support one another. Spa features Moroccan and Mandarin themes
"All of our rooms have different names and themes," Tsanadis said.
The spa has a Moroccan Room, a Mandarin Room, a Contempo Room, aNirvana Room and an Enlightenment Room. The spa offers bodytreatments such as mud masque and salt glow treatments.
"We specialize in facial peels preventative and corrective skincare," Tsanadis said. "What sets us apart is the peels we use arechemically blended for each individual's skin type and needs. Theingredients used in our peels are chemicals that are found in thehuman body. So your body recognizes them. Your body takes it inwillingly, alleviating adverse reactions."
Also, said Tsanadis, "we specialize in correcting acneic skin,hyperpigmentation and fine lines and wrinkles."
Manicures and pedicures are referred to as "hand and foot therapy,"she said.
"Your hands are the first to show signs of aging. And our feet, weneglect," she said, adding feet take a lot of abuse.
"Routine pedicures are good for your health. Manicures andpedicures are therapy for your feet." 'Dim lights and soothing music' add to atmosphere
Tsanadis said all services come with "robes, slippers, dim lightand soothing music."
"I like the atmosphere," said Brooke Long (Thompson), who broughther entire wedding party there for manicures and pedicures.
As the women relaxed to the music, they sipped on champagne anddiscussed last-minute wedding details.
