Is it Too Much to Ask Stores to Carry Thigh High Stockings

I'm not ususally given to rants, but I have one that has been on mymind for quite some time. Why do merchandisers in stores think thata woman's sex appeal disappears as her size goes up?

I spent a good part of today looking for a pair of black lace thighhighs in my size. I found lots of black lace thigh highs in othersmaller sizes. There is one store that has the black thigh highs inmy size, and they are ALWAYS sold out of them. (Which tells me thatthere are a lot of women just like me in the same predicament). The store can't keep theshelves stocked with them because they fly off the shelves so fast.And the reason they fly off the shelves so fast is because nobodyelse has them! There are rows and rows of thigh highs in numeroussizes and shapes.....UNLESS you are a plus size woman. You would think out of all of those thigh highs, somebodywould remember US. Yes, they are available through mail order...butwhy should I have to pay all of that extra money for shipping and handling when other women get to go into the store and just make a simple purchase? Is thatmy punishment for not being thin?

I'm a plus size woman, and I believe I have as much right to look sexy and flauntmy stuff as any other woman. I'm curvaceous, and I don't hide thosecurves behind flannel nightgowns and granny panties, as themerchandisers would seem to believe. As my weight increased, my passion, sex drive, and desire to be sexy did not decrease. Sorry to disappointanyone who believes otherwise.

As women, it is imperative that we feel good about ourselves. Yes,I am on a weight loss journey and I'm sure I will be on it the rest of my life,because it is a battle for me. BUT I don't believe my life needs tostay on hold until I lose the weight. I don't have to wait to besexy. I don't have to wait to live my life with passion. I don'thave to wait to be beautiful. I can do all of those things NOW as Iwalk down that weight loss pathway....and look good doing it.
