Man arrested with cocaine inside his shoes

A Chandler man was arrested Thursday after police said he wassupporting a lifestyle based on drug sales in the presence of smallchildren.
Rene Saul Arrieta, 27, was arrested at Dobson and Elliot roadsThursday after police said they found approximately 2 ounces ofcocaine inside his shoes while he was in the presence of fourchildren between the ages of 1 and 9.
Police obtained a search warrant and found approximately $16,350 inbundled cash under a dresser at his home. Police said they alsofound another $500, a prescription bottle, an assault rifle, abottle of steroids, two loaded glock handguns and a bag of cocaine.
Various pieces of paperwork were also obtained showing Arrietaowned an off-road vehicle worth approximately $50,000. When policequestioned the owner of the house, his girlfriend of eight years,she said she was behind in bills and could not explain thesignificant upgrades in the house, the plasma TVs, his CadillacEscalade or the off-road vehicle.
Arrieta was arrested on suspicion of possession of narcotic drugsfor sale, possession of dangerous drugs, fortification of astructure for narcotic drugs for sale and transport of a narcoticdrug for sale.
Police said Arrieta has a storage unit and a business warehousethat have not been searched. Police are still investigating.
